I'm a counsellor in Bridlington working with children, young people and adults. I can offer an environment in which you can express your feelings and gain a deeper insight into your difficulties. We will focus on your journey, and not follow a plan set by me. I will listen to what matters to you and try to help you to understand your thoughts and feelings better and make sense of the situation you are in.
About me and my practice
I offer short term and open ended counselling for most difficulties but really enjoy working with anxiety, stress, depression and low self-esteem.
Those looking for a specific approach to therapy may wish to know that I am an integrative counsellor which means I can use a variety of techniques to suit the clients individual needs. Including: Humanistic, Person Centred and Psychodynamic approaches. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
I abide by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society's professional Code of Ethics. This stipulates I attend regular clinical supervision to ensure that the help you receive is meeting your needs as effectively as possible. Your privacy will be respected as fully as possible.

I am an Approved Anxiety UK Therapist and have been treating clients with various anxiety related issues since August 2016.

Initial Consultation
I offer a free 30 minute, no obligation initial consultation. The initial appointment is for you to get to know me. Ill take time to get to know you, what your goals are, what youre struggling with and what you need help with. This is your time and a safe space where you will not be judged, and where you can just be YOU.
Fees
Current session fees are £45.00 per 50 minute session. I am registered as a provider with Aviva, Bupa and Cigna Health Insurers and offer sliding scale rates for some clients
When I Work
My working hours are 8.00am-5.00pm (last app 4-5pm) Monday to Friday
